Bernardo Mendoza, MD
Dr. Mendoza obtained a BS degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey and a doctor of medicine degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He also completed his fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Board certified in general surgery and board eligible in vascular surgery, Dr. Mendoza is also a Registered Vascular Technologist. He has authored or co-authored several published research papers and given presentations at medical conferences on vascular conditions and treatments. He is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Vascular Surgery, and a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and Society for Vascular Ultrasound. Prior to joining Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute Physicians, Dr. Mendoza, who is fluent in both English and Spanish, was a practicing vascular/endovascular surgeon with ECHN Health Services in Manchester, Connecticut and Tucson Vascular Surgery in Tucson, Arizona.
